Description
The SCM Minimax SC2C is a compact sliding table panel saw designed for workshops that need accurate cutting performance without the footprint of a larger industrial machine. It is commonly used for sizing solid wood, MDF, chipboard and laminated panels, making it a practical choice for joinery, furniture making and general woodworking.
At the centre of the machine is a 315 mm main saw blade with a tilting unit, allowing both straight and angled cuts. The saw can achieve a cutting height of up to 100 mm, making it capable of handling thicker materials as well as sheet goods. An optional scoring unit is available, which helps prevent chipping when cutting laminated or veneered boards, improving overall finish quality.
The sliding table system is a key feature of the SC2C. Made from anodised aluminium and running on hardened steel guideways, it allows smooth and controlled movement of the workpiece through the blade. This improves accuracy, particularly when cutting large panels, and reduces the effort required from the operator.
