Product Features
Description
The Maggi Steff 2038 is a heavy-duty power feed unit designed to automatically feed timber through machines such as spindle moulders, planers and circular saws. It is widely used in professional workshops to improve both safety and machining consistency by maintaining a steady, controlled feed rate throughout the cutting process.
The unit is equipped with three driven rollers, arranged to keep the workpiece firmly controlled from entry to exit. Two infeed rollers and one outfeed roller ensure continuous pressure on the material, resulting in smoother cuts and a more consistent finish. This setup is particularly effective when working with small to medium-sized components where stability is essential.
One of the key advantages of the Steff 2038 is its wide range of feed speeds. It offers eight fixed speeds, typically ranging from around 2 to 33 m/min, allowing operators to match the feed rate to different materials, tooling and cutting requirements. This flexibility improves both productivity and finish quality across a range of applications.
The machine is designed with safety in mind. By automatically feeding the material, it keeps the operator’s hands away from the cutting area, reducing the risk of accidents. At the same time, the consistent feed eliminates marks caused by uneven manual feeding, helping produce a cleaner and more uniform finish.
Built with a cast aluminium housing and hardened internal components, the Steff 2038 is designed for long-term reliability. The rollers are made from high-grip rubber to ensure strong traction, while a spring-loaded suspension system allows them to adapt to variations in material thickness without constant adjustment.
Overall, the Steff 2038 is a dependable and widely used power feed unit that enhances safety, improves machining accuracy and increases efficiency in professional woodworking environments.
Specifications
3 rollers – 8 steady speeds back and forward motion. 2 speeds are obtained by changing the position of the gears inside the housing, while other 2 speeds result from the switching of the bipolar engine (1400-2800 rpm). Thanks to a gear shift the user can choose among a double range of speeds and easily select the most suitable one
