Description
The SCM Class TI 145EP LL is a high-end spindle moulder developed for workshops that need precision, flexibility and efficient workflow. As part of the SCM Class range, it combines traditional spindle moulding capability with modern electronic control, allowing operators to carry out complex shaping and profiling operations with greater speed and accuracy.
At the centre of the machine is a tilting spindle, capable of moving both forwards and backwards up to around 45 degrees. This allows a wide range of machining operations, including angled profiling and advanced joinery work, while maintaining safe and controlled cutting. The spindle is supported by a heavy-duty cast iron structure, ensuring stability and reducing vibration during operation, which is essential for achieving a clean and consistent finish.
A key advantage of the TI 145EP is its electronic control system, which allows the operator to program and store machining setups. This reduces setup time significantly and improves repeatability across jobs. Depending on configuration, the machine can operate in manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic modes, with stored programs enabling fast changeovers between different tasks.
The machine also features SCM’s “FAST” sectional worktable and “FLEX” fence system, which allow precise positioning of the workpiece and fence even with tooling in place. This improves both accuracy and efficiency by removing the need for repeated test cuts. In addition, the LL version includes extended table support, making it more suitable for handling larger workpieces and light tenoning operations.
