Description

The SCM Class TI 120E LL is an advanced tilting spindle moulder built for workshops that need greater precision, efficiency and flexibility in day-to-day machining. As part of the SCM Class range, it combines traditional spindle moulding capability with powered electronic adjustment, making it quicker to set up and more repeatable than fully manual machines.

At the centre of the machine is a tilting spindle that moves both forwards and backwards up to around 45 degrees, allowing a wide range of profiling, rebating and tenoning operations to be carried out with control and accuracy. The “E” version introduces powered rise and fall and powered tilt, both controlled from the front of the machine with digital readouts. This allows operators to position the spindle quickly and accurately, reducing setup time and removing the need for repeated test cuts.

The machine is built on a heavy-duty cast iron structure, providing the rigidity needed for smooth, vibration-free operation. This ensures clean finishes and consistent results, even when working with larger tooling or harder materials. The spindle runs across multiple speeds, typically ranging from 3000 to 10,000 rpm, allowing it to handle a wide range of cutters and applications effectively.

The fence system features mechanical programming with numerical readouts, enabling precise positioning down to a tenth of a millimetre. This improves accuracy and repeatability across jobs, particularly useful in production environments where consistency is key.

The LL version includes extended cast iron table supports, providing additional stability when working with longer or larger components. This makes the machine more suitable for handling bigger workpieces while maintaining accuracy and control throughout the cut.
