Description

The SCM Nova TI105 is a versatile spindle moulder built for professional workshops that require accurate shaping, profiling and jointing of timber components. Positioned in the mid-range of SCM’s spindle moulder lineup, it offers a strong balance between performance, flexibility and ease of use, making it suitable for both general joinery and more demanding production work.

At the core of the machine is a backward tilting spindle, adjustable from 0 to 45 degrees, allowing a wide range of profiling operations and improved safety when working with complex tooling. The spindle is supported by a heavy cast iron column and table, providing excellent rigidity and reducing vibration during operation. This ensures consistent accuracy and a clean finish, even when machining larger or more demanding workpieces.

The machine features a precision fence system with mechanical adjustment and digital readouts, allowing accurate positioning down to fractions of a millimetre. This reduces setup time and removes the need for repeated test cuts. All controls are positioned at the front of the machine, making adjustments straightforward and efficient during use.

The PS Plus version includes an aluminium sliding table, which improves support and control when machining longer or heavier components. This setup also enables light tenoning operations and more controlled feeding of the workpiece, increasing both accuracy and safety.

With multiple spindle speeds and the ability to handle a range of tooling sizes, the Nova TI105 is capable of moulding, rebating, grooving and tenoning. Its robust construction and flexible configuration make it a dependable choice for workshops that need consistent performance without moving into fully automated systems.
