The planer unit includes a cutter block with 2 reusable knives (available as an option is the TERSA disposable knives system with 3 knives and rapid clamping). This range of SCM machines also has saw-planer fences with anodized aluminium extrusion and both support and clamp for fast positioning.
Producing an exceptional finish, the “Xilent” spiral knife has vastly reduced noise – making for a more comfortable, less obtrusive working environment. Also adding to a more environmentally friendly, less pollutive and healthier workplace is the improved dust extraction via the small chips. The longevity of the cutter block has been greatly extended as each cutter has 4 tips that can be rotated into the cutting position when worn.
