Description
The SCM Nova F520 is a professional surface planer designed for accurately flattening and straightening timber before further machining. As part of the SCM Nova range, it is built to offer a balance of performance, durability and ease of use, making it well suited to both general joinery and more demanding workshop environments.
The machine features long ribbed cast iron tables that provide excellent support for the workpiece and help eliminate vibration during operation. This stability is essential for achieving flat, consistent results, particularly when working with longer or heavier timber sections. The infeed table is manually adjusted using a simple control system, allowing precise setting of cutting depth while maintaining consistent accuracy over time.
A four-knife cutterblock delivers clean and even material removal, while optional cutterblock systems such as spiral heads can be fitted to improve surface finish and reduce noise levels. The fence can be tilted for angled edge planing, giving the operator flexibility when working on different components.
