Description
The SCM Class F520 and F410 are professional surface planers developed for accurate timber preparation in demanding workshop environments. Designed as part of the SCM Class range, these machines are built for long-term precision, offering a combination of advanced engineering, solid construction and user-focused design.
Both models feature large, ribbed cast iron tables that provide excellent stability and eliminate vibration during operation. This ensures consistent flatness across the workpiece, even when working with longer or heavier timber. The table movement system uses a connecting-rod mechanism, which maintains smooth and precise motion over time while preventing deformation, helping to preserve accuracy throughout the life of the machine.
A key feature of the Class range is the concave and convex adjustment system, which allows fine tuning of the tables to achieve perfect jointing results. This helps eliminate visible joint lines and ensures tight-fitting components, particularly important in high-quality joinery.
The cutterblock is fitted with four knives as standard, delivering clean and consistent material removal. Optional systems such as spiral cutterheads are available to improve surface finish, reduce noise and extend tool life. Safety and usability are also central to the design, with the integrated “Smart Lifter” guard providing automatic protection without obstructing the working area.
The main difference between the two models is capacity. The F520 is suited to larger workpieces and higher throughput, while the F410 offers the same performance in a more compact footprint. Both machines are designed to deliver reliable accuracy, smooth operation and long-term durability in professional woodworking applications.
