The Sedgwick TA315 is a traditional tilt arbor sawbench designed to handle a wide range of cutting tasks including ripping, crosscutting, mitring and bevel cutting. It is commonly used in joinery workshops as a central machine due to its combination of power, simplicity and accuracy.
At the core of the machine is a 315 mm saw blade, capable of cutting up to around 105 mm at 90 degrees and 76 mm at 45 degrees. The blade tilts from 0 to 45 degrees, allowing angled and compound cuts to be carried out with precision.
The machine is built around a large cast iron table mounted on a heavy-duty steel cabinet, providing excellent stability and reducing vibration during operation. This solid construction ensures accurate cutting results and reliable performance over long periods of use.
The spindle is driven by an industrial motor via a belt system and runs in sealed-for-life bearings, keeping maintenance requirements low while maintaining smooth and consistent operation. Blade height and tilt are adjusted manually using handwheels, allowing fine control during setup.
